Alleigh Raymond has grown up in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Western North Carolina and began fly fishing when she was ten years old and has been fly fishing for nearly six years. Discovering that fly fishing and fly tying is her passion has led her to become heavily involved in the competitive scene of the sport and partake in many competitions held in the Southeast for the past three years with the goal of securing a place on the USA Youth Team this upcoming year. Alleigh is the first Youth Ambassador for the rod company Master Nymph and an active member of the competitive fly fishing team, Team Nymph Master and of the non-profit organization, Trout Unlimited along with being a member of the Youth Leadership Council mainly managed by the young adults of Trout Unlimited.
In her spare time, she is a part-time guide for a local trout fishing guide service called Rivers Edge On The Soque located in Clarkesville, Georgia. She also enjoys volunteering at the Pisgah Center for Wildlife Education which is her neighborhood wildlife center as a Junior Guide for the free fly fishing classes offered by the education center. Alleigh is passionate about cold water conservation and encouraging more female involvement in the fly fishing industry with the intention of growing this amazing sport that we all know and love!
