Steve (Bubba) Stanley started fly fishing over 20 years ago and began tying not long after. Steve spent a summer exploring the waters of the Connecticut Lakes region of Northern NH while working for Lopstick Lodge. It was during his time in NH that Steve developed his Stanley’s Waker Maker that was featured in David Klausmeyer’s book ‘Guide Flies’. Steve got his big start in the industry by working as a guide at Tikchik Narrows Lodge in Southwest Alaska where he spent 3 years chasing big leopard rainbows. He came back to Vermont and started guiding for Green Mountain Troutfitters. Steve and Chris Lynch, the manager of Green Mountain Troutfitters, worked together to produce a series of tying videos. Steve is a Co-Owner of Green Mountain Fly Fishing Camps (www.vtfishcamp.com). Steve is also a Peak Fishing Pro Team member.
