The Jurassic Series 1 uses a new concept in hook holding technology; we call it the LIRS (Large Iron Retention System). Aimed at solving the problems faced when trying to tie on hooks with large wire diameters and long shanks, the Jurassic Series 1 heads are our largest, accepting hooks up to .195″ in diameter. The Jurassic Series 2 uses the same LIRS hook-holding technology as the Series 1, in a slightly smaller package, accepting hooks up to .134″ in diameter. Available in pedestal base or c-clamp packages.
The PEAK Rotary Vise LIRS combines our popular Rotary Vise with the larger hook capacity of a LIRS head. This is the smallest LIRS head, and accepts hook sizes up to .095″ in diameter, all in a package that is fully compatible with accessories of the PEAK Rotary Vise. Available in pedestal base or c-clamp packages.
. This vise uses a chuck with no collets, eliminating the need for changing out parts. The chuck will accept pins and metal tubes up to 1/8” in diameter and works perfectly with PEAK’s custom ground pins, which have a shallow sloped shoulder for capturing the tubing. No additional pieces are needed, simply push the tubing up to the shoulder until it is held snugly. Available in pedestal base or c-clamp packages.
